Everyone who has ever watched Big Papi knows that he was made for the big screen. The man puts on a show every time he strides to the plate, so it’s only natural that he’ll be entertaining crowds in “Patriots Day,” the upcoming Peter Berg-directed movie on the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings and the ensuing manhunt for brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

Sometime this month, David Ortiz will travel to the former South Weymouth Naval Air Station to re-enact his iconic, “This is our f-ing city speech.” That speech, delivered on April 20, 2013, is undoubtedly the moment that cemented Ortiz as a Bostonian for life.

While the film, which will unsurprisingly star Mark Wahlberg along with J.K. Simmons and John Goodman, isn’t scheduled to be released until December 21, 2016, it’s worth putting on your calendars. Nothing can possibly replicate the actual speech, but it will still be pretty awesome to re-live that moment.
