NESN Clubhouse a fun new show for young Sox fans

On Father’s Day this Sunday, the son of one of the biggest Red Sox will be in a starring role.

D’Angelo Ortiz, otherwise known as Little Papi, will be on NESN Clubhouse to do a special feature of “Batter Up with D’Angelo Ortiz,” during which he immaculately imitates the batting stances of the Sox. NESN Clubhouse is a new kids-centered show that airs prior to the pregame coverage before every Sunday Sox game.

NESN Clubhouse already has a few fun, patented segments such as “Stump Your Parents” and “You Make the Call.” T.J. Hourigan and Gary Striewksi host the show, but current and former Sox players, mascot Wally, and junior reporters all make frequent appearances to spice things up.

While NESN Clubhouse is on site at Yawkey Way for Sox home games, the show moves to Watertown, MA when the Sox hit the road. There, a live studio audience full of local youth baseball and softball teams gets to be on hand for all the action. If you know any young fans of the Sox, let them know they can they can sign up here for a chance to be there.

If you want to get your kids hooked on the Sox early, NESN Clubhouse is a great place to start.
