Well you certainly don’t see this every day… Or every year.
Michael Kopech, a 2014 draft pick by the Boston Red Sox, is giving back to his community this holiday season.
Michael will be volunteering at the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign in his home town in Mount Pleasent. This is a pretty cool way for a Red Sox player to give back.
Kopech is currently in Single-A in the Red Sox organization and is one of the top prospects for the Sox in the up coming years. Is this as high profile as David Ortiz ringing the bell outside your local grocery? No, but it’s still very cool and will be a nice treat for the residents of Mount Pleasant.J
