Humans of Red Sox Nation

I was born and raised in the Boston area and I’ve always been a diehard Red Sox fan. I grew up going to the games with my family; those are some of my favorite memories. I love all Boston sports teams. I watch every game I can. Living around Boston and rooting for the teams here is like being a part of one big family.
When we first started dating she barely knew anything about baseball. She grew up in Asia so she never really got to experience American sports. I was so excited to teach her all about baseball and the Red Sox. I was very eager to introduce her to Boston sports. For one of our first couple of dates I decided to take her to a Red Sox game to show her my favorite team. I knew it would be interesting because she didn’t know much about baseball. When we got to Fenway it was great to see her awe of the fans and excitement in the ballpark.
For me, I’ve always felt like Fenway is more than just the place to watch Red Sox games; it’s an experience in itself. I was glad to be showing the Fenway experience to her.
We sat down to watch the game, Fenway franks in hand, and she said to me that we should do this again sometime. I knew she loved being at Fenway, and that we’d do this many more times. Watching Red Sox games is now one of our favorite things to do together. And we try to make it to as many home games as possible to cheer on our now shared favorite team.
