This Saturday is the annual Notre Dame vs Boston College football game. Why on earth does a Red Sox page care about the game? The game is going to be played in our beloved Fenway Park.
The Shamrock Series is a set of game set in special or different locations. Some of the games have been in places such as Yankee Stadium, Solider Field, Cowboys Stadium, and now add Fenway Park to the list.
While the game will obviously be played in Boston, it is technically still a Notre Dame home game, which is why both end zones will have “Notre Dame” in them. Let’s be honest here about BC: they’re going to need all the help they can get. This program hasn’t been relevant since Matt Ryan was under center. The Irish come into the game ranked no. 5 in the nation and look to break into the College Football Playoff. Notre Dame’s only loss of the season came at the hands of number one ranked Clemson. This is be a formidable match-up for a Boston College team that is limping into the game at an unimpressive 3-7.
My prediction is that Notre Dame has this game wrapped up by the third quarter and wins comfortably with some garbage time points. Final score: Notre Dame 42, Boston College 13.
